Surveys & evaluation · Agriculture and food systems

Hi, I'm Levi.

I lead survey and evaluation work in agriculture and food systems, and I've been doing it for about eight years across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. That covers household surveys, impact evaluations, soil health assessments and field data collection, from the questionnaire all the way to the final analysis.

Work

Most of what I'm good at is the unglamorous part that decides whether a study holds up: instrument design, enumerator training, getting the same households back for the next round, and catching data problems while the team is still in the field instead of three months later. I currently run Wrangla360, a research and data quality consultancy based in Nairobi.

Before Wrangla360, I was a data analyst on asset-based community-driven development, agroecological transformation and holistic metrics for agroecology. My background is in statistics. I write most of my analysis in R, use Python when it's the better tool, and like maps more than is probably healthy.
